Speculum, the Latin word for a mirror, was a station in the province of Africa Proconsularis on a road leading to Capsa, now Gafsa. The map sets it eighteen Roman miles from Ad Turres and fifteen from Thiges, which lay by the Tritonian lake. It is placed at Chebika, while older research looked for it at Bir Zarzur on the salt lake of Chott el Gharsa. The Ravenna list has the same name.
