Bir Ogla Alima

Ad Pretorium means at the praetorium, the kind of official lodging where travellers on state business could stay. The station lay at Bir Ogla Alima in Africa Proconsularis, by the Oued Seldja on the northern slope of the Djebel Zimra, eighteen Roman miles from Praesidi Diolele and twenty-three from Cerva. One letter of the name, surely an r, is now illegible: the copyist seems to have erased a mistake and never written in the replacement.
