Ad Pontem Singe

Ad Pontem Singe, at the bridge of Singa, marked a river crossing on the road from Zeugma to Samosata, twenty-four Roman miles from Arulis and only three from the next stop at the Capadox river. Ptolemy knew the town as Singa, and the river is the Singas, now the Gök Su. On the map two rivers run so close together here that the name had no room and overruns one of them. Older research suspected that another station had dropped out of the road near by.
