Ad Turres

Tamerza

No drawing, only a name on the road line, marks Ad Turres, now Tamerza on the river of the same name. The name means 'at the towers'. The station lay in the province of Africa Proconsularis, thirty-three Roman miles from Cerva and eighteen from Speculum, though the start of the stretch towards Speculum is not marked on the map. A branch road towards Capsa may have left the main road here or already at Cerva. The Ravenna list simply writes Turres.
