Road station

Ad Turres

Tasovčići near Čapljina

Ad Turres is drawn beyond Narona as if on a coast road, yet the line on to the next station, Diluntum, is missing, and where the road really ran is disputed. Most research now follows an old inland route and places the station at Tasovčići near Čapljina in Herzegovina, where a hillfort above the lower Neretva has proved of great strategic importance; older research suggested Utovo. The name means at the towers, one of several places on the map so called, and this is its earliest record.
