Mazatanzur

S Djebel Tebaga (Barrington)

Mazatanzur, which older copies of the map read as Mahatanhur, was a late Roman stop south of the Djebel Tebaga in Africa Proconsularis. The Ravenna list calls it Manzat, and one suggestion places it at Bir Chezen. The map counts seven Roman miles from an unnamed station before it and six on to Timezegeri Turris, the tower of Timezegeri.
