Road station
Agarsel
(SE Chott Djerid) (Barrington) · Dus, el Douz (Miller)
Agarsel, which the Ravenna list writes Agasel, lay south-east of the Chott el Djerid, the salt lake of southern Tunisia, perhaps at Douz. The map counts a hundred and fifteen Roman miles from Aggar Selnepte at Nefta, a figure that fits a road running round the salt lake, and then fourteen miles on to Puteo, though where that stretch begins is not marked. The station is dated to late antiquity.
