Timezegeri Turris

Henchir Merteba (Barrington)

Timezegeri Turris, the tower of Timezegeri, was a road station in Roman Africa, probably at Henchir Merteba, though older research looked for it at Tamezred; the Ravenna list writes Temizec. The map sets it six Roman miles from Mazatanzur and ten from Avibus. A branch road to Tinzunedo starts here too, but it is drawn uncertainly and carries no distance figures at all.
