Road station
Timaco Maiori
Knjaževac
Timaco Maiori, Greater Timacum, was a station on the road from Naissus to Ratiaria on the Danube, at Knjaževac in the Timok valley of Serbia, in the land of the people the Roman writer Pliny calls the Timachi. Nearby a votive stone to Hercules has been found. The map sets it twenty-seven Roman miles from Naissus and ten from its smaller namesake, Timacum Minus.
