Mazara
Mazara was a town of Greater Armenia, named also by the geographer Ptolemy and by the Ravenna list, which counts it to Mesopotamia. One identification is Mezireh, and it is probably the same place as the Matzaron of the Byzantine historian Theophylact. Some older editions misread the name as Mahara. The map counts eight Roman miles from Thirtonia and sixteen on to Colchis.
