Aquas Labodes

Sciacca

Listen to the story

Aquas Labodes were the warm, salty mineral baths of Sciacca in Sicily, famous and much visited in antiquity. Greek and Roman writers called them the baths of Selinus, after the nearby Greek city. The map puts them forty-five Roman miles, about sixty-seven kilometres, from Lilybaeum and forty from Agrigento.
