Figlinis

Figlinis, the potteries, was a station on the road down the Rhône from Vienne to Valence, placed near Saint-Rambert-d'Albon. The list of places compiled in Ravenna writes Ficlinis. Milestones found further south count the miles from Vienne: twenty-three at Beausemblant, twenty-five at Saint-Vallier and thirty at Érôme, though older research doubted whether the lost stone of Saint-Vallier, bearing the name of Claudius, had been copied correctly. One older view placed the station at La Côte-Saint-André instead.
