Road station

Filo Musiaco

vielleicht Mouthier

Filo Musiaco was the first station south of Besançon on the road over the Jura towards Pontarlier and Yverdon. Its site depends on how the road ran, and nothing proves it lay on the direct line: Mouthier, Lods, Fallerans, Usie and the stretch between Ornans and Chantrans have all been suggested. If the road went by Étalans, Fallerans and Nods, the station would lie near Fallerans; that was the way taken in 990 by the traveller Sigeric, who stopped at Nods. A modern atlas leaves it unlocated.
