Fines

Thiviers (Miller) · Firbeix? (Barrington)

Somewhere between Périgueux and Limoges, perhaps at Thiviers or at Firbeix, lay the station the map calls Fines. It marked the boundary between the Petrocorii of Périgueux and the Lemovices of Limoges, roughly where the later boundary of the two dioceses ran, and that is what the name means: boundaries. Its site is hard to fix, because the map's figures on either side are impossible, and older research suspected that a station near Châlus has dropped out. On the map, the start of the stretch towards Limoges is not marked.
