Drubiaglio di Avigliana
Finibvs, At the Border, lay at Drubiaglio near Avigliana in the Susa valley in Italy, where Roman Italy ended and the Alpine kingdom of Cottius began. It was a customs post: goods passing here paid the duty of the Gallic provinces, one fortieth of their value. Dedications to Jupiter and to the Mother goddesses, graves and the ruins of the post station have been found. On the map a hole in the parchment hides the start of the road to Turin, and the map gives eighteen Roman miles for it, where a silver beaker found at Vicarello has twenty-three.
