Cambe

? Boğazköprü ?

Cambe is probably the town Ptolemy calls Kampai, which he lists, as the map does, just before Mazaca, the city also called Caesarea; the spelling here may simply be the medieval way of writing Cambae. The map counts sixteen Roman miles, about twenty-four kilometres, on to Caesarea, and twenty-two back to Siva. The site may be at Boğazköprü, though even that is uncertain.
