Calvisiana

Tenutella Rina (Barrington) · (westlich von Terranova) (Miller)

Listen to the story

Calvisiana was an anchorage and station on the south coast of Sicily between Agrigentum and Syracuse, perhaps at Tenutella Rina near Gela. The map sets it forty-four Roman miles, about sixty-five kilometres, from Agrigentum, a figure written in an unusual way as forty and then four, and twenty-four from Hybla.
