Cambete is Kembs on the Rhine, a place of the Rauraci twelve miles north of Augst, where the road from Besançon joined the Rhine road coming down from Strasbourg. The map draws it twice: this Cambete, at the end of the road from Besançon, duplicates the one on the Rhine road just above, and the two stretches onward to Arialbinum and Augst are repeated too, with the same figures. There were hardly two parallel roads here; the mapmaker seems to have doubled them in error.
