Bersera

Bersera is usually taken for Beroea, the city we know as Aleppo, which the Ravenna list writes Byrsa. The map shows that city a second time, as Berya on the road just above, and there it has a picture, while here it is only a name. Other suggestions point to ruins at Kara Abrasch or El Melluha. The map counts twenty Roman miles from Cani and eighteen on to Bathna, though the start of that last stretch is not marked.
