Arcaiapis

Üç tepe

Arcaiapis is probably Charcha, the town where, as the historian Ammianus tells, a Persian army made its last halt before moving against the Roman forts that guarded Amida, now Diyarbakır. Its site is Üç Tepe. The map counts ten Roman miles, about fifteen kilometres, from Sardebar and fourteen on to Sammachi.
