Syria Arabia
Listen to the story
Syria Arabia is one of the province names the map spreads across the Roman East. It belongs to a remarkably complete set: of the nine provinces of the late Roman diocese of the East, the great administrative unit stretching from Cilicia to Mesopotamia, eight are named on the Tabula, among them Cyprus, Syria Coele, Syria Phoenix, Palestine, Arabia and Mesopotamia. Only Commagene is missing.
