Road station
Sarxa
Sárres
Sarxa was a station in Macedonia east of the Strymon, on the road from Philippi to Heraclea Sintica. The map counts eighteen miles from Scotusa and thirteen on to the station named after the river Strymon. Its exact site is uncertain: it has been placed near Serres, and also at Zichna, a village on the hills east of the river.
