Phrystanite

The Phrystanitae were a people, placed on the map in the lands beyond the Sea of Azov. They seem to have formed part of the Misimians, a people often named by Byzantine writers, and lived above Apsilia. Their stronghold was called Phustas, and Roman garrisons had been stationed there since the time of the emperor Trajan.
