Memblone

Sidi-Ahmed-bou-Fares (Barrington) · Es Zonauine

Memblone, which the Roman register of routes and the Ravenna list both call Membrone, lay on the road to Utica, only six Roman miles before that colony and ten after Tunisa. It is placed near Sidi Ahmed bou Fares in Tunisia, while older research looked to Es Zouaouine. The settlement may go back to Hellenistic times.
