Mesochoro, the station of Mesochorum, lay near Carosino, a short way inland from Tarentum on the road towards Uria and Brundisium. Its Greek-sounding name suggests the middle land. Apart from this map, only the list of places compiled in Ravenna and the medieval geographer Guido of Pisa know it, and Guido adds that people corruptly called it Serichorum. Nothing more is known about the place.
