Ad Mercurium
Beled-Djedeida (Barrington) · östl. v. Soliman bei Menzel bu Zalfa (Miller)
Where exactly Ad Mercurium stood is disputed: one suggestion puts it at Beled-Djedeida, another, worked out from the map's own figures, near Menzel bu Zalfa in Tunisia. Its name means at Mercury, and it lay nine Roman miles from Ad Aquas and six from Vina Vicus. The god's name was also attached to the headland of Cap Bon, which ancient geographers called the Promontory of Mercury.
