Thornia

et Tawane, Twane (Miller) · Khirbet eth-Thuwana (Barrington)

Thornia is the Thoana of the geographer Ptolemy, and older research also linked it with Teman, a name from Genesis and the Book of Job. Eusebius knew a Theman fifteen miles from Petra, with a Roman fort. The ruins are placed at Khirbet eth-Thuwana in Jordan. The map gives no figure for the stretch from Negla, but counts forty-eight Roman miles on to Rababatora.
