Road station

Lysa

Nahal Loz · Wadi Lussan (Barrington)

Lysa, a place Ptolemy also lists, was a station on the road from Aila up to Oboda in the Negev. It is usually placed at the ruins in the Wadi Lussan, the Nahal Loz of today, though older research felt the station ought to lie a little further south for the map's distances to fit. The map counts twenty-eight Roman miles from Cypsaria and forty-eight on to Oboda.
