Dolica

Dülük

Dolica survives as the ruins of Tell Dülük, north of Gaziantep, on the road from Germanicia to Zeugma in the land of Commagene. The church historian Theodoret called it a tiny little town, yet it was a bishop's seat, and its god, Dolichenus, took his name from it. Coins were struck here under Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus, Commodus and Caracalla. The geographer Ptolemy and the Roman register of routes know the town as well.
