Road station

Donatianis

Vardarac near Osijek

Listen to the story

Donatianis was a station on the road from Antiana to Teutoburgium in Lower Pannonia, placed at Vardarac near Osijek in Croatia; older research suggested Laskó or Keskend. Opposite, near Apatin, it saw the start of an earthwork running to the river Tisza. Only this map and the list of places compiled in Ravenna name the station. The map sets Donatianis twelve Roman miles from Antiana and thirteen from Ad Labores.
