Road station

Dorionibus

Slatina

Dorionibus, at today's Slatina, is a plural form, 'at the Doriones', a station on the road through the hills towards Melta. The map gives eleven miles from Storgosia and ten on to Melta. A Roman gravestone has been found here, and the ruins of Kaijalik south of Pleven were once taken for the station. Off the road lay Giridava, today Pelisat. One modern atlas misread the name as Poriones.
