Ad Ficum
Ad Ficum has changed places with its neighbour Ad Basilicam in the Roman register of routes, which lists the two in reverse order but keeps the same figures. The name means at the fig tree, and in the 5th century the place was a bishop's seat; the Ravenna list turns it into Vicum. Its site is sought at El Ksar. The map counts twenty-seven Roman miles from Mopti and fifteen on to Ad Basilicam. Another Ad Ficum lay far away on the Great Syrtis.
