Thermantica

Ardistan (Miller)

Thermantica is placed at Ardistan in Iran. The Ravenna list spells it Termantica and, curiously, also uses the name for a whole country, India maior or Thermantica. On the map the station is just a name without a drawing; beside it stand eleven to Seva Vicina and twenty to Orubicaria, on a road where the map probably counts Persian parasangs rather than Roman miles.
