Gobdi

Khoy

Gobdi is placed near Khoy in Iran, and the name should probably read Gobai; the Ravenna list writes Gobdie. The station has also been equated with Chauon, which the Greek writer Ctesias described as a district of Media where Semiramis laid out a great park, and which Diodorus calls a city. The map counts seventeen Roman miles from Nasabi and twenty-four on to Filadelfia.
