Vico Mendicoleo was a village station on the Via Popilia in the mountains of Lucania, near Lagonegro, known otherwise only from the list of places compiled in Ravenna, which spells it Vico Mendilegio. The map is in some disorder here: the line on to Nerulum is missing, although its distance figure of twenty-six Roman miles is there, tucked in under where the road should run for lack of space.
