Stratonis, perhaps short for the tower of Straton, was a station on the coast road between Callatis and Tomis, today's Constanța. A modern atlas leaves it unlocated; older research looked north of Tuzla, near the lake of Techirghiol. The map gives twenty-two miles from Callatis and twelve, about eighteen kilometres, on to Tomis, and a milestone found inland counts seven miles from Callatis.
