Palitas

Palitas turns up twice in the Ravenna list: once as Paligas, among the lands of India and Serica, and once as Palita, near Armenia. Older research connected it with the Bolitae or Cabolitae, a mountain people whom the geographer Ptolemy places in the Paropamisadae, and sought the station near Sebsewar, perhaps at Badr-askan. The map counts fifteen Roman miles from here to Parhe.
