Navoae

Eggenthal

Listen to the story

Navoae lives on in a medieval name: in 1004 the village of Eggenthal in the Allgäu was still called Nawue, and around 1150 a Nawe stood beside it. Milestones found here count forty to forty-three Roman miles from Augsburg. On the map the station lies eighteen Roman miles, about twenty-seven kilometres, from Cambodunum, now Kempten.
