Road station
Manange
Henchir-Faroka
Listen to the story
Manange was a road station in the Roman province of Africa Proconsularis, identified with Henchir-Faroka in Tunisia. The map gives it no picture, only its name on the road line, six Roman miles from Uzappa and seven from Aggar. A modern atlas of the ancient world knows the place only by its first letter, M, and dates it to Roman and late antique times.
