Saint Pierre d’Albigny
Mantala was a station of the Allobroges on the road from Vienne over the Little Saint Bernard to Milan, between Chambéry and Albertville. The Roman register of routes and the list of places compiled in Ravenna give the same name. It is usually placed near Saint-Pierre-d'Albigny, but older research also proposed Montailleu, Saint-Jean-de-la-Porte, the castle of Miolans and Montmélian, and never settled the question.
