Road station
Lampsilii
(near Macomades) (Barrington) · vielleicht Hr. Hedjadi (Miller)
Listen to the story
Lampsilii was a station on a road running east from Diana Veterans in Numidia, in present-day Algeria, twenty-five Roman miles from Diana by the map's figures. Its site is unknown: a modern atlas puts it near Macomades, older research perhaps at the ruins of Hedjadi, though then the map's last stage of three miles would be too short, eight being needed. The list of places compiled in Ravenna may garble it as Lapisede, and the stretch onward to Ad Lali has no figure.
