Lambiridi

Kherbet (Barrington) · Khirbet-Ulêd-Arîf (Miller)

Lambiridi was a small town in Numidia between Lamasba and Lambaesis, the great legionary fortress, at Kherbet Ouled Arif in Algeria. Inscriptions show it was a municipium, a self-governing town, in the third century, and a bishop of Lambiridi attended the council at Carthage in 411. Among its ruins is a tomb with a mosaic whose meaning is disputed. The map gives no distance to either neighbour; older research reckoned about ten Roman miles on to Lambaesis.
