Hadre shows a copyist at a loss. He wrote the name around the R of the large letters of Media Provincia and ran straight on, so that the map actually reads Hadreabhadre, followed by Burnomilia and the figure thirteen. It looks like a line from a list of routes copied out without being understood: from Hadra to Burnum, thirteen miles. The town itself, which the Greek geographer Ptolemy calls Adra, is placed by older research at Medviđa, where Roman inscriptions were found, and by others at the hot springs of the Krupa.
