River
Fluvius Misiu
Musone (Miller)
Listen to the story
In Picenum, on Italy's Adriatic coast, flowed the little river Fluvius Misius, which the map sends into the sea near the town of Potentia. It is usually identified with the Musone, but scholars disagree: another view sees it as the Chienti, whose name probably survives in the nearby station of Cluana. Its red name sits between the stations of Potentia and Sacrata, placed by the river's mouth rather than its source simply because there was no room for it higher up.
