Elegio was a station on the Danube road in Noricum, between Lauriacum and the river Ybbs, near Strengberg in Lower Austria. Close by, at Wallsee, lay the fort of Adiuvense, where many military inscriptions have been found, and a late Roman list of garrisons places mounted archers at a post called Lacus Felicis on the same stretch. The name Elegio itself is known only from this map.
