Road station
Aradarum
Pura (Miller)
Aradarum was a station in Carmania on the road from Persepolis towards the lower Indus. Judging by the map's figures, older research placed it at the halting place of Lader, between the marshy basin of Jaz Murian and the town of Bampur; another suggestion is Pura, east of Bampur. It has also been equated with Ardea, which Ammianus counts among the larger cities of the Persian interior, though Ptolemy puts that town south-west of Persepolis. In the Ravenna list, which has the same name, stations of two different roads are jumbled together here.
