Ziziola
Öğütlü ? 1 km östl. von İşkilor ?
Ziziola is a name found only on this map, perhaps a diminutive of Sisila, a fort on the Pontic frontier where, according to the late Roman list of offices and garrisons, a cohort of Germans served under the commander of Armenia. If so, it is probably also the fort the Byzantine historian Procopius describes: built long ago, abandoned over time, then rebuilt by Justinian and given a strong Roman garrison against the raids of the Tzani. The site is disputed; the village of İşkilor, whose name sounds alike, is one candidate.
