Road station

unnamed / illegible, no. ID 275

Listen to the story

Between Tabellaria and Graviscae on the Via Aurelia, the map draws a stopping place with no legible name, five Roman miles, about seven kilometres, beyond Tabellaria. Beside it stands the odd sign that probably meant one mile, linking it to Graviscae. Perhaps the name of Graviscae itself belongs here and slipped along the line; which station this really was can no longer be settled.
