On the confused coast road from Scardona, the map marks a station without a name, eleven Roman miles from Scardona and twenty before Ad Praetorium. A Roman register of routes has a station called Arausa at this point, also twenty miles from Praetorium, at Velika Mrdakovica in Croatia, and it may be the one that dropped out. Older research thought the whole stretch muddled, with Ad Praetorium itself wrongly inserted by a copyist.
