Sidoteco
Saulieu?
Sidoteco is placed, with some doubt, at Saulieu, between Avallon and Autun. The Roman register of routes calls it Sidoloucum, and the Roman historian Ammianus names Sedelaucum on Julian's march from Autun to Auxerre, by way of Sedelaucum and Cora. A Merovingian coin names the village Sedeloco, and an early calendar of martyrs speaks of Sidolocus, a village of the people of Autun. On the map, the last stretch to Autun is drawn as two lines, although a single stage is meant.
